A 27-year-old man will appear in Christchurch District Court today after an online threat to the Linwood Islamic Centre and the Al Noor Mosque.
Both mosques were searched on Tuesday after a member of the public warned police about a post on the 4chan website.
The man has been charged with threatening to kill.
