There are calls for the government to pay for more home internet connections for school students in Auckland.
The city is on to its fourth lockdown and secondary principals say online learning is essential for their students and many are missing out.
The Education Ministry last year connected 45,000 homes and recently told schools it will pay for those connections until the end of this year.
Otahuhu College principal Neil Watson told RNZ education correspondent John Gerritsen only some of his students received home internet connections from the ministry's scheme.
