Sharks that glow in the dark of the ocean have been seen for the first time off the coast of New Zealand.
Belgian scientists were able to document three species of luminous deepwater shark while on a research expedition off the East Coast.
These denizens of the deep live in the twilight zone - where no sunlight reaches them.
