Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins hasn't ruled out the idea but no final decision has been made.
National party health spokesperson Shane Reti told Meriana Johnsen the government should make South Auckland a priority for the vaccine.
Last night two new locations of interest were identified, in connection to the South Auckland outbreak.
A person who tested positive for the virus visited Li'l Abners Takeaway and Choice Food Bar in Papatoetoe last Friday morning, February the 19th, between 1am and 1:20am.
The Ministry of Health says anyone who was there at the same time, is considered a casual-plus contact.
They are advised to stay at home, get tested as soon as possible, and call Healthline.
