Covid-19: Otara testing centre busy

From Morning Report, 8:08 am on 16 February 2021

Results of Covid-19 testing in the community due back today, will provide a clearer picture on whether Auckland can leave alert level three tomorrow at midnight.

Cabinet will meet again today, as it continues to review the alert levels every 24 hours.

Testing centres were swamped yesterday with close to 4000 community swabs taken.

So far there were no further confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the community and overnight the Director General of Health, Ashley Bloomfield, was not alerted of any further positive tests.

Katie Doyle was at the Otara testing centre.
