Covid-19: Auditor-General wants more accountability on spending

The Auditor-General is demanding more accountability from the government over how its spending billions of dollars tackling the pandemic.

The public watchdog says Treasury figures don't give enough information and it's impossible to tell how much Covid-19 funding has been allocated or to what.

It says people need to know where the vast sums of money are going and what is being achieved.
