Politicians will make their way on to the Treaty Grounds as part of the Waitangi formalities today.
It will be a chance for the leaders of political parties to lay down their vision for Maori and Aotearoa.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern - with her 15 strong Labour Maori Caucus - will no doubt be challenged on what they have delivered for Māori- and of course Ngāpuhi.
