Covid-19: NZ Doctors say vaccine distribution will be vital

From Morning Report, 8:17 am on 27 January 2021

Doctors say the Covid-19 vaccine rollout will need to be carefully planned if the shortcomings of last year's troubled flu jab distribution is to be avoided.

Record numbers were vaccinated for the flu last year but an independent report found flaws in the distribution chain which ultimately failed some patients who were most in need.

The Covid-19 vaccination process will be a bigger and more challenging campaign according to president of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners, Dr Samantha Murton.
