A man who woke up 'crook as hell' yesterday morning says he waited seven hours for a Covid-19 test, while others gave up and left without getting a test at all.
Mike Paora says people spent hours baking in their car with kids, many with no water or food - not expecting to be there all day.
Reporter Jordan Bond spoke to him while he queued at a Whangarei testing centre.
Late on Monday night the Ministry of Health said more staff will be working today in both Auckland and Northland.
There is also a new venue for the Ruakākā Testing Centre which is now located at the Ruakākā Race Course.
