Covid-19: Northlanders line up for tests

From Morning Report, 6:44 am on 26 January 2021

Worried Northlanders have been turning out in droves to be swabbed for Covid-19 - but testing centres are overrun.

Many people are also stockpiling food in case of any alert level change.

Reporter Chen Liu has been to Northland and filed this report.

Late on Monday night the Ministry of Health said more staff will be working today in both Auckland and Northland.

There is also a new venue for the Ruakākā Testing Centre which is now located at the Ruakākā Race Course.

The Health Ministry says people who have symptoms or had been in the same location as the positive case should be tested. If you don't meet this criteria but are concerned, call Healthline.
