Moss resignation a step forward, but work not over yet - Lady Tureiti Moxon

From Morning Report, 8:42 am on 25 January 2021

A group of wahine Māori leaders say Graine Moss' sudden departure from Oranga Tamariki is a vital first step in handing care for Tamariki Māori back to whānau.

They have strongly opposed Moss' leadership of Oranga Tamariki since she took up the post in 2017.

Her role has been marred by controversy since Moss defended a policy that allowed the uplift of new born babies - predominantly Tamariki Māori - into state care.

Lady Tureiti Moxon is Chair of the National Urban Māori Authority.
