Honey exports are under threat from pesticide scare

The Chief Executive of the UMF Honey Association says the industry needs to change their practices to ensure pesticides stay out of honey exports.

All New Zealand honey is now being tested at the Japenese border after the weedkiller glyphosate was found in honey products.

Japan has warned it will stop importing New Zealand honey if more of the chemical is detected.
