A second Republican senator has called for the US President Donald Trump to resign following the storming of the Capitol by Trump supporters last week.
Senator Pat Toomey, a conservative supporter of Trump until recently, joined Senator Lisa Murkowski in the call for resignation this morning, as Democrats in the US House of Representatives prepare to move forward with impeachment proceedings.
