A new, unscalable wall is being installed around the Capitol Building in Washington DC and the city's mayor, Muriel Bowser, has declared a state of emergency for the next two weeks.
So far 68 people have been arrested.
The city's police chief, Robert Contee, says there's still a "significant amount of work ahead ... to identify and hold each and everyone of the violent mob accountable for their actions".
