Road toll nearly triple that of last year
Eleven people died on New Zealand roads through the Christmas and New Year period, nearly triple that of last year. Five of those who died were not wearing a seatbelt. Road safety campaigners say it's just too easy to get a drivers licence, and the regurgitated road safety messages are becoming stale. Motorsport identity and road safety campaigner Greg Murphy is an advocate for vastly improved practical driver training, he spoke to Te Aniwa Hurihanganui.
