Property market predicted to lock out more buyers in 2021

From Morning Report, 8:10 am on 6 January 2021

There are fears more and more people will be locked out of the New Zealand property market in the coming year.

In December, house prices grew at a record rate for the second consecutive month.

Property research firm Core Logic's house price index rose 2.6 percent in December, with the average property price hitting $788,967.

That eclipses November's record, when prices grew at their fastest level in 16 years. Jean Bell reports.
