MIQ emergency application fast-tracking system not so hitting deadlines

Overseas New Zealanders are failing to get home in time to see dying family, and are hitting out at the government's slow turnaround of emergency applications.

People should be able to gain entry into managed isolation within seven days, if they qualify on compassionate grounds. Yet some are waiting a lot longer just to have their applications assessed.
