'Doomscrolling' voted New Zealand's word of the year

The votes are in and New Zealand's word of the year is ready to be unveiled.

As it does every year, the website Public Address sought online votes from a long-list of words, many of which came into existence, or rose to prominence in 2020.

To start the ball rolling we can tell you that #NZhellhole tallied the third-most votes while the runner-up for word of the year was "Bubble".
