Christchurch City Council to spend millions enclosing Bromley compost plant

People who live near a smelly compost plant in Christchurch are elated the City Council is finally taking action to fix the problem.

The Council owned Living Earth compost site in Bromley produces a smell some have described as vomit, dead animals and rotting vegetables all mixed together.

The Council has now voted to spend $21.5 million to fully enclose the plant.
