Introducing hate speech laws could threaten NZ's liberal democracy - Judith Collins

The National Party leader Judith Collins is urging caution over the changing of hate speech laws.

Among the recommendations in the Royal Commission into the Christchurch Mosque Attacks is to broaden laws for hate-motivated crimes.

Collins says it is a contentious issue, and the last thing people should think is that criminalising speech will stop violence.
