Wednesday marks a year since the eruption on Whakaari/White Island.
At 2.11pm there will be a minute's silence to mark the time the volcano erupted. RNZ will mark that moment as well on air.
Wednesday's service to remember those who died and were injured will be held at Mataatua Marae.
