NZ should back Australia over tariffs from China - Expert
A professor of international law says if Australia takes its complaints against China's trade impositions to the World Trade Organisation, New Zealand should support it. China has put tariffs of up to 200-percent on all Australian wine imports. Beijing is accusing Australian producers of dumping wine at a discount rate, harming the Chinese industry - something Australia denies. It's the latest in a long line of hits on Australia exports in a year that's seen rising diplomatic tensions. Waikato University professor Alexander Gillespie told political reporter Yvette McCullough New Zealand must stand up for the international rules-based order.
