Kiwi game gets off the ground during Covid-19 lockdown

For many New Zealanders the Covid-19 lockdown was one of the hardest challenges of 2020.

But for two Kiwi, the pandemic has been major inspiration for a new online game that gets you closer to people who are far away.

Gaming Studio, 2UP, has received a huge $4 million investment to get their idea off the ground It encourages two players to work together towards a common goal.

They built the game and the company from two separate cities over multiple lockdowns.

The men behind 2UP are Joe Raeburn from Auckland and Tim Kanaus from Wellington.
