New Zealanders received twice as many unwanted online advances during the first Covid-19 lockdown than at any other time this year.
The research by Netsafe shows the number of people experiencing online harm, such as bullying or revenge porn, skyrocketed over the seven-week period.
Scams, sextortion, intimidation and the distribution of objectionable material all increased.
The most common types of online harm were encouraging people to hurt or kill themselves and sharing intimate images or recordings without permission.
