Police officers in south Auckland are carrying guns as a precaution, as they investigate a series of firearms incidents on Friday and Saturday.
Three incidents took place in Otara in the space of 24 hours, all reportedly involving shots fired at houses.
Nobody was injured in the incidents, which are thought to be gang-related, although police are yet to release details.
