Decision to cull Denmark 17 million minks proves controversial

Denmark's government has decided to cull all its mink - up to 17 million animals - because of the spread of coronavirus, shocking the nation last week.

That turned into a political outcry, after the Prime Minister admitted the plan was rushed and had no legal basis.

Danish authorities were worried that a mutated form of coronavirus found in mink could potentially hamper the effectiveness of a future vaccine.
