Wellington City Council funding helped get tattoo event going

From Morning Report, 6:21 am on 2 November 2020

Funding from Wellington City Council helped the organisers of this weekend's tattoo convention get the event going.

Around 100 artists from all across New Zealand arrived at the capital for the convention, which was held at the old Dominion Museum building, now part of Massey University.

Covid-19 complications and trouble finding a venue meant the task was made harder for the organisers to get the convention going.

One of the organisers, Craigy Lee, an artist in his own right, told RNZ reporter Harry Lock the event almost didn't happen.
