Melbourne wakes to increased freedoms

From Morning Report, 8:11 am on 28 October 2020

Melbourne business owners are waking to a mammoth day as the city reopens for the first time in months.

On Monday, Premier Daniel Andrews announced that restaurants, bars, cafes and shops would reopen from Tuesday night as the city moves into 'stage 3' of their roadmap out of lockdown.

Melburians are now allowed to see friends and family with one household permitted to visit another each day.

Premier Andrews reminded Victorians that they should continue to wear masks - even when visiting friends - until at least the end of the year.
