One person has died in a house fire in east Auckland.
Emergency services were called to the two-storey house on Minerva Terrace in Cockle Bay just before 7pm.
Two other people were taken to hospital one in a critical condition and one in a serious condition.
Chris Delfos is the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Assistant Area Commander and was at the fire.
Late last night he told Morning Report producer Lily della Porta how crew responded when they arrived at the property.
