Tens of thousands of children will be affected by a push to tighten zoning for 135 schools in Auckland and principals warn some communities will fight back.
Some principals say the scheme is overdue, but they also warn it will all but eliminate school choice in the city.
Documents obtained under the Official Information Act show the Education Ministry has completed the first phase of the three-year plan, with forty-five zones enrolment schemes approved or amended in time for next year.
