Police not to blame says husband of police chase victim

From Morning Report, 8:29 am on 16 October 2020

The husband of a man who died after his car was hit by a driver who was fleeing from police is still not blaming the police - despite the Independent Police Conduct Authority ruling the pursuit was NOT justified. In its report, the IPAC says the high-speed chase through central Christchurch was poorly managed and should have been called off. Ultimately it led to the death of 64-year-old Kaiapoi man Kenneth McCaul, when the fugitive driver running his eighth red light struck Mr McCaul's car while he was on his way to work. His husband, Owen Fraser, speaks to Corin Dann.
