Sexual exploitation of children rife in Fiji: reports
Sexual exploitation of children has become rife in Fiji according to Save the Children, and the organisation End Child Prostitution and Trafficking International. Their joint survey has also found the problem is largely hidden from authorities and the public. A recent UN report also revealed those responsible for the abuse are usually family members, foreign tourists, taxi drivers, businesspeople and crew on foreign fishing vessels.
