Highly prized house plants have been stolen from the Wellington Botanic Garden Begonia House.
Wellington City Council reported a break in on Monday night with the thief or thieves taking off with a trove of exotic species, some up to a metre-and-a-half tall.
Susie Ferguson spoke to the Botanic Garden's manager, David Sole, and he said that's too big to slip inside your jacket.
