More than 1000 schools and ECE ask for pandemic funding

More than 1000 schools and early education centres have tapped into government support for children struggling to attend or learn because of the pandemic.

The Education Ministry says it has allocated $15 million from the $50 million Urgent Response Fund.

The money is being used to encourage truants back to class and to help children who are disturbed or unsettled by the pandemic.
