The world's first competitive shearer to win a hundred titles has been found and he hails from the small South Canterbury town of Fairlie.
Former world champion Tony Dobbs became the first person to claim victory at 100 blade shearing events when he won a competition in Waimate over the weekend.
The 58-year-old wondered if it would ever come, with countless events having been scrapped this year because of Covid-19.
