Labour's promise to ban conversion therapy is being welcomed by the Greens, rejected by ACT, while National are staying tight-lipped.
Conversion therapy is a widely-considered harmful practice that attempts to persuade people to change their sexual orientation or gender identity.
In its policy reveal, Labour also promised more gender neutral toilets in schools, and $4 million for mental health services.
