Motor industry fears WoF extension could mean more deaths in crashes

The motor industry has grave fears that a Covid-19 amnesty on vehicle warrants could lead to more people dying in crashes in unsafe vehicles.

Drivers were given a six-month grace period to renew their warrants, registrations and licences which ends Sunday.

It has prompted safety fears, and will likely lead to long delays as drivers rush to comply.
