Cannabis advocates say the drug is on track to become legal, according to the results of a new survey published this morning.
But the referendum on the proposed legalisation remains a very tight race.
The poll, conducted by UMR and comissioned by the Helen Clark Foundation and the New Zealand Drug Foundation, found 49 percent in favour and 45 percent against.
