Polling booths busy as early voting begins

From Morning Report, 7:35 am on 5 October 2020

New Zealanders started heading to polling booths with the start of early voting on Saturday - including a good number of political leaders.

The Electoral Commission expects record numbers to cast early votes this year - up to 60-percent - partly driven by the threat of another lockdown.

Most big policies from the two major parties in particular have been announced, so the remaining two weeks will be a race to the finish line.
