Royal Commission into Abuse: Woman shares Lake Alice story at hearings

A woman who was subjected to extreme cruelty while a teenager at Lake Alice Psychiatric Hospital says the Crown has protected her torturer for decades.

Leonie McInroe says she will never have closure until Dr Selwyn Leeks and those who worked with him are prosecuted.

McInroe has given evidence to the Abuse in Care Royal Commission in Auckland.
