Scientists track godwits returning home from Alaska

Many New Zealanders are making the long journey home this spring but there's only one group that aren't required to self isolate on their return. 

Godwits or Kuaka migrate 11500 kilometres from Alaska every year.

This year scientists from Massey Universty have tracked the birds migration using satellites.
