A public health expert is concerned New Zealand has relaxed restrictions back to Alert Level 1 for most of the country.
Auckland remains at Level 2, but the remainder of the country returns to the new normal - which includes ditching the masks on public transport.
Public Health Professor Nick Wilson says this is a mistake, and a intermediate step to "Alert Level 1.5" would have been safer.
