Covid-19: Tourism workers in line for testing focus

People whose jobs put them in touch with Aucklanders in the school holidays are being targeted for Covid-19 testing in the latest Ministry of Health plan. The new strategy covers the next two weeks as Auckland drops to Alert Level 2 and the rest of the country goes to Level 1 and the school holidays begin. It says the priority is still testing anyone in the country with symptoms but health boards in areas where Aucklanders travel to a lot, like Northland, Waikato, and the Upper North Island, should ensure hospitality, tourism and transport workers have access to testing. University of Auckland epidemiolgist Rod Jackson told Health Correspondent Rowan Quinn that's a good plan.
