Lawyer supporting abuse survivors wants Royal Commission interim report

From Morning Report, 8:37 am on 21 September 2020

A lawyer representing survivors of abuse wants the Abuse in Care Royal Commission to speed up help for victims by making an interim report.

The Commission is investigating abuse in State and faith-based care between 1950 and 1999.

Over the next two weeks it will hear evidence from survivors who have sought redress for abuse suffered in State care and from others who have dealt with government agencies on behalf of claimants.

Andrew McRae reports.
