Covid-19: 'Stubborn' food insecurity, poorer mental health after lockdowns - Salvation Army report

From Morning Report, 7:41 am on 17 September 2020

Poorer mental health - particularly in young people - and "stubborn" food insecurity following Covid-19 lockdowns are key findings of new research from the Salvation Army.

The report took a snapshot of New Zealand by looking at three communities - Rotorua, Johnsonville and Queenstown.

It found a lack of housing, inadequate incomes and not nearly enough mental health support.
