All of Wallabies squad will be affected if a member tests positive - Robertson

From Morning Report, 7:47 am on 16 September 2020

Sport and Recreation minister Grant Robertson says the entire Wallabies squad will have to restart quarantine if one of them tests positive for Covid-19.

Trans-Tasman rugby bosses have agreed terms at last, with New Zealand to stage two Bledisloe Cup tests next month.

The All Blacks will host the Wallabies in Wellington on October the 11th and then in Auckland one week later, both are Sunday afternoon games.

The schedule was ratified only after the New Zealand government relaxed quarantine rules for the Australian players and staff.

Robertson told Morning Report a member of the squad testing positive would cause problems for the timeline.

"The whole team will effectively have to restart the clock, which I imagine would mean that the games wouldn't go ahead."
