Covid-19: Aged care restrictions will remain despite possible Alert Level changes

From Morning Report, 8:42 am on 14 September 2020

Visiting residents at aged care homes is set to remain tightly managed, even if the government lowers the country's alert levels this afternoon.

New Zealand Aged Care Association chief executive Simon Wallace said a return to unfettered access at its facilities will only happen when Alert Level 0 is reached.

Until then, visits are by appointment only and limited in terms of numbers and time duration.
