Parades out, Māori language moment in for Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori 2020

Māori Language Week organisers are hoping they can get a million New Zealanders speaking te reo Māori at midday on Monday. 

In light of restrictions to limit the spread of Mate Korona, there'll be no parades this year, and instead, businesses, schools and whānau will sing waiata or have a te reo Māori lesson as part of a Māori Language Moment.  

If some of those words sounded unfamiliar to you, know that its the phrase most speakers have had to learn this year. "Mate Korona" means Coronavirus
