Heritage advocates not happy with proposed regulation changes

Heritage advocates say proposed changes to building regulations in Wellington will destroy the capital's architectural feel.

With the city's population set to expand by tens of thousands over the next few decades, the Council's spatial plan sets out where the city can grow, and what new buildings are allowed.

While some want to preserve history, others say time's up and people need modern, affordable housing.

Harry Lock has been speaking to both sides in the debate.
