EU threatening legal action over UK plan to drop parts of Brexit agreement

The European Union is threatening legal action over the United Kingdom's plan to drop part of its Brexit agreements.

The Union has strongly criticised opposes the Internal Market Bill, which could undermine the free flow of goods between Ireland and Northern Ireland.

In a statement following emergency talks between the two sides, the Union said the bill "seriously damaged trust between the EU and the UK".

The EU has told the UK to drop the Internal Markets Bill by the end of month.
